Adventure Pursuit: Offers summer day camps for children with disabilities. Call 304-485-0911 for more information. Camp dates set based on reservations.

Camp Choosy: Offers week-long camps at the WVU Coliseum that focus on physical activity. Camps are a part of the WVU Physical Education Department, Motor Development Division. For more information, call 304-293-3295 ext. 5252.

Camp Echo: Held at Cedar Lakes in Ripley. This is a five night camp for individuals 15 and older with severe disabilities. For more information, call 304-422-7243.

Camp Gizmo: Held at the WV School for the Deaf and Blind in Romney for children birth to eight who use assistive technology devices and their families. Teams help children actively participate in all activities and find out which forms of assistive technology work for the child. For more information, call 304-558-2696.

Camp Happy Face: The Cerebral Palsy Parents Council Summer Camp, held at the Spring Heights Education Center in Spencer. Activities include arts and crafts, swimming, treasure hunts, movies, a hay ride, etc. For more information, call 304-927-5865.

Camp WINACA (WINning Against CAncer): Held at Camp Golden Horseshoe, in Tucker County for any child 8-16 who has had cancer. For more information, call 800-288-2317 or 304-296-8155.

Camp Independence: Held in Wheeling, WV for youth ages 12 to 17 years who are visually impaired. The camp focuses on life skills that promote independence. Activities include computing and outdoor nature workshop. $25.00 per camper. For more information, call Seeing Hand 304-232-4810 Monday through Friday from 8:00-4:00.

Children's Vision Rehabilitation Project Summer Institute: The Summer Institute provides direct instruction on specific skills like braille, independent living, assistive technology, orientation and mobility and self help skills. The institute addresses specific skills the children do not get during the school year. Additionally, Summer Institute provides an opportunity for students, parents and teachers from different counties to network and establish support systems. CVRP offers two summer institutes per year throughout West Virginia for children ages 6-13 years of age. International Sports Jamboree: Held at North Bend State Park for teens between 12-20 who have mobility and/or visual disabilities and do not qualify for the Special Olympics. Mountain Milestones & Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp - Stepping Stones: Held in Morgantown for ages 6-18. The camp is 6 weeks long. Activities include swimming, bowling, golfing, kayaking, outdoor recreation, and arts and crafts for children of all abilities. For more information, call 304-983-7837.

Mountaineer Spina Bifida Camp: Held at Cedar Lakes in Ripley for ages 8-18. Swimming, socialization skills, sports and all kinds of fun activities are offered to campers. For more information, call 304-558-7098.

Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp: Held at Cedar Lakes. Each camper has their own counselor, who stays with them during the week and helps them during camp activities, including scavenger hunts, fishing, swimming and boating. A prom is also scheduled. Summer Safari: Held at St. Mary's Church in Star City, near Morgantown. For children ages 4-12 with gross motor, fine motor, sensory and speech delays. For more information, call Therapy Services, LLC at 304-599-9250.

WV Elks Handicapped Children's Camp: For physically challenged children, 7-15 and mentally challenged individuals ages 8-25. Applications are available from your local lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

WV School for the Deaf and Blind Summer Enrichment Program: For children who are deaf, blind, have auditory and/or visual impairments in grades 4-12. For more information, call 304-822-4800.
