Maternal & Child Health/Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (MCH/LEND)
Our Mission
The Maternal and Child Health Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) trains leaders in health and related professions to work with children with disabilities and their families.
We train students by using mentors from their fields of study and focusing on family-centered care, teamwork and cultural sensitivity.
Our Objectives
- Recruit students who are committed to helping children with disabilities and their families.
- Bring professionals together as a team to provide the best care possible for children with disabilities.
- Develop leaders who understand West Virginia’s culture and rural concerns.
- Help our students support families in many different service areas.
- Provide training to other professionals and to families of children with disabilities.
