Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Farms in West Virginia
www.nal.usda.gov/afsic/csa
The CSA model allows consumers and farmers to work together to sustain one another. Consumers share the costs of supporting the farm by providing upfront payments in exchange for a share of the year's harvest. This means consumers share the risk of variable harvests and also share the over-abundance of a particularly fruitful year. Every farm is different in length of season, crops grown, level of social activities and price they set for their shares.
