Social workers, driven by principles of social justice and the dignity and worth of human beings, assume vital roles in a variety of settings, including substance abuse counseling, therapy, case management, community organization, advocacy, and education. They work collaboratively with other professionals in an array of diverse institutions such as healthcare and behavioral health facilities, residential homes, correctional institutions, schools, government agencies, child welfare organizations and more.
