WDTV News in Bridgeport made the Mentoring with Oversight for Developing Independence with Foster Youth (MODIFY) program holiday fundraiser their top story on December 1, 2023.
MODIFY Community Support Specialist Mark Liptrap spoke to WDTV about the importance of this annual fundraiser which provides gift cards to youth who have aged out of the foster care system, bringing some cheer to those who may not have families to visit during the holidays.
"Sometimes when people have no one else for the holidays, anything that they're given is help, and the ability to at least let them know that they're being thought of and that they're not forgotten," said Liptrap.
Donations will be accepted through December 15, 2023.
