Resource Coordinator/Clinical Associate

The Resource Coordinator/Clinical Associate will be part of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) State Program in West Virginia. The primary work role of this person is to: provide resource coordination services to individuals with TBI so that they can effectively access available services and to facilitate a seamless continuum of services across agencies; identify unmet needs and barriers to accessing effective traumatic brain injury services; collect relevant data to support the development of a funding stream for statewide brain injury services and supports; conduct regional outreach to identify and assist individuals with TBI who need access to services and supports; and provide training and technical assistance to increase the capacity of direct service providers to provide effective, person-centered TBI services. This position will require the incumbent to perform such specific duties as: 1) Provide outreach to regional and local service providers, support groups and community organizations regarding the availability of TBI services and supports; 2) Arrange and conduct technical assistance and training activities regarding systems issues, information about TBI and available services and supports; 3) Facilitate person-centered planning with individuals with TBI and their supports; 4) Provide resource coordination for individuals with TBI and their families; 5) Provide training on person-centered planning and resource coordination/case management to service providers; 6) Provide behavior supports through Positive Behavior Support training and consultation; 7) Assist individuals with TBI through an application process to pursue funding for unmet needs; 8) Maintain ongoing data collection; 9) Serve as a regional resource to TBI service providers in the region; 10) Participate in activities directed at facilitating consumer participation in legislative efforts to impact TBI funding and policy. Minimum qualifications: Masters Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Rehabilitation, or a related field is required. Valid Social Work license is preferred. A minimum of one year experience working with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), or other disabilities, as well as, with staff and administrators providing services to individuals with disabilities. Experience in resource coordination/case management, familiarity with behavioral principles and their application, knowledge of West Virginia services delivery systems for individuals with disabilities, and an expression of a person-centered values base consistent with the project goals. Experience facilitating group process with individuals with disabilities. Experience conducting training on issues related to Traumatic Brain Injury, resource coordination, person-centered planning and positive behavior support. This is a full-time position located in Charleston, West Virginia and is based on an annual salary range of 31,200 to $34,200, plus 27.5% WVU Fringe Benefits Plan. Counselor (CED)

The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a Counselor in the Center for Excellence in Disabilities to provide rehabilitation counseling services to the Youth Transition Demonstration (YTD) Project at West Virginia University. The position is located in Big Chimney. The incumbent will provide planning and assistance to enrolled YTD beneficiaries with disabilities (and their families) in nineteen counties in WV. Will provide information on: the adequacy of health benefits coverage that may be offered by an employer of a beneficiary with a disability; the extent to which other health benefits coverage may be available to that beneficiary; the availability of protection and advocacy services for beneficiaries with disabilities; and how to access such services. Incumbent will also conduct work incentive seminars to beneficiaries, their families, employment networks, and other allied agencies and organizations. Requires a master’s degree in a social science field and three to five years directly related experience. An equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered. Vocational Assessment Program Manager

The Vocational Assessment Program Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization and oversight of the TANF (WV Works) Vocational Assessment Program. This position is based in Morgantown but works statewide by training, providing technical support and supervising eight Vocational Assessment Specialists located around the state. The applicant must have a Master’s Degree in Social Services or Counseling with at least 2 years experience supervising employees in a social service setting related to the employment of people with disabilities. He/she must have at least five years experience providing direct service to individuals with disabilities who are seeking employment with a working knowledge of employment benefits, State and Federal incentives, SSI, SSDI, Social Security, WIB and regional WIA services and resources. The applicant must have the ability to travel extensively to parts of the state not accessible by public transportation. This is a full-time position located in Morgantown, reporting to the CED Associate Director, with a salary range of $43,200 to $44,400 plus 27% WVU Fringe Benefit Plan. He/she also works in tandem with regional Department of Health and Human Resources TANF case managers. A Master's degree is required in the human services field of study.
