Community Rehabilitation Provider Services (CRP)

The West Virginia University Center for Excellence in Disabilities (WVUCED) is offering community-based employment services through the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation’s (DRS) community rehabilitation provider (CRP) program. The WVUCED is serving clients in Marion, Monongalia, Preston and Taylor counties to help integrate people with disabilities into the local workforce.

Services available:

  • Life skills training
    Help develop effective work behaviors, attitudes and other skills to get a job and stay working
  • Community-based assessment
    Exposes the potential employee to a variety of local jobs for short periods to help the job seeker have the best information to choose work.
  • Work skills adjustment
    Assesses the skills needed to meet the daily demands to keep full-time employment in the chosen job for those who have a general idea of their vocational goal.
  • Job coaching
    Involves a personal trainer on the job with the employee to help with learning job tasks expected to be completed by the employer. Job coaching involves one-to-one assistance, advocacy and other services needed to keep a job.
  • Direct placement services
    Help with getting a job using short term supports such as job training and job coaching
